South Boston, MA; completed 2022 | The Urban Single-Family Home. It is elusive and many argue might even be an outdated use of property. But sometimes, there are sites where this is perfect. The site is squeezed to a twenty-one-and-a-half-foot lot between an existing three-story multi-family building and a billboard at the corner of D Street and West Seventh. Centerline brought us this project after they’d purchased it with Zoning Board Approval secured, but it had not yet gone to the BPDA for design review. The owner had some slightly different goals for the project, and we were able to make those changes within the approved zoning constraints along with requests from the BPDA.
