The Blackstone

Worcester, MA; completed 2024 | The Blackstone project in Worcester, MA, marked one of our initial ventures in the area, partnering with a returning client. This multi-family residential development, featuring 20 units across three stories, presented an opportunity to navigate Worcester's zoning and planning landscape. The building's design incorporates a straightforward, double-loaded corridor layout on the upper two floors with accessible units and amenities on the ground floor. To optimize zoning allowances and elevate the design, the third-floor living rooms boast raised, one-and-a-half height ceilings with expansive windows, creating bright and open spaces. This unique feature is expressed externally through a rhythmic color banding pattern on the facade. Warmth and residential appeal are added through wood tones at the entrance and window areas, softening the building's overall appearance.
